Dear Trabant nT fans, Thousands were impressed by the concept car at the 2009 IAA premiere in Frankfurt, offering a vision of a successor to the Trabant. Meanwhile, the Trabant nT has also become a prize winner of the nationwide innovation competition "365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas", making the new concept of the cult car one of 365 prize winners selected annually by the initiative "Germany - Land of Ideas" and Deutsche Bank, under the patronage of the Federal President.

Additionally, the Trabant nT and with it the three companies involved - IndiKar, Herpa and Poschwatta - received the special award 2010 "Gelebte Einheit" (unity in practice), making it one of the twelve "Selected Landmarks" to be singled out on the occasion the 20th anniversary of German reunification as ambassadors for cooperation between East and West.

Meanwhile, the Trabant nT project is proceeding steadily: on December 2nd, 2010, "Trabant nT GmbH" was founded in Zwickau with the aim of advancing the project to serial production readiness of the Trabant nT. "Of course we had hoped for the project to be realized sooner", concedes manager Ronald Gerschewski. In moving ahead, first a great deal of planning was necessary in order to establish contacts with serious project partners. Meanwhile, Trabant nT GmbH is in talks with a shortlist of possible investors. But, Gerschweski maintains: "only when the financing is definitely in place, will the Trabant nT project enter the next stage."
